What’s in a Name Anthologies
I’m so excited to be part of the What’s in a Name Anthologies, which is a collection of anthologies that support literacy charities. All of the authors pulled a name out of a name generator and built a story around it.
For Twice Upon a Name, I pulled the name Nathaira Crystalstream, Governess of the Impassible Sirens. That’s a big name, but my story is a lighthearted one about family, moving out of what’s familiar and comfortable, an the power of music.
For Third Name’s a Charm, I drew Vika Silverquest – Kere of the Battle Wastelands. In my story, she gets bored with battlefields and goes to the Fates to change her path.
Four Names of Fortune comes out in 2025. Vika is coming back for that one with an adventure about luck and fate.
Do you Vella?
Kindle Vella is Amazon’s serialized fiction platform. I’ve been working on a prequel about the Furies and releasing it slowly on there. The first 3 episodes are always free. If you check it out, I’d love to know what you think.
The Furies, the feared avengers from Greek mythology, have dedicated their lives to balancing the scales. Although the old gods have been relegated to stories, they are still bringing their brand of justice to those who need it. When an ancient spear with the power to kill demigods goes missing, the Furies are summoned to retrieve it. Finding the thief will lead them on a journey that will uncover long buried grudges and a plot that makes them question everything they know to be true.
Chicken Soup for the Soul
I’m so excited to be a contributor to these great Chicken Soup for the Soul books.
Navigating Elder Care and Dementia
The story about teaching my grandma how to use her iPhone is going to be in the next Chicken Soup for the soul book about elder care and dementia. It’s a topic that’s near and dear to my heart and I hope the stories in there give comfort to anybody walking that road. Find out more here.
Be You
The story about going to my first taekwondo sparring class when I was terrified is in the new Chicken Soup for the Soul book, Be You. There are so many inspiring stories in this collection and I’m so excited to be featured in a book about female empowerment. You can find it here.
Lessons Learned from My Dog
Rosie was my tea-drinking, garbage-stealing, naughty former foster dog, who came into our family like the only thing it was missing was her. Her story is being included in the upcoming Chicken Soup for the Soul book called Lessons Learned from My Dog. You can find it here.
