Meadoe Hora writes vibrant stories for teens and adults, blending fierce female leads, rich mythology, and local Wisconsin lore.
Frost & Fury – Coming November 2026
Erin is determined to pull off a miracle this December: a perfect, normal holiday with her reunited family. But her family, the literal Furies, doesn’t do cozy.
Convincing the ancient goddesses of vengeance to embrace holiday cheer is hard enough before a winter goddess knocks on their door needing a place to hide. Khione, the goddess of snow, is on the run from Poseidon, and she may have kidnapped their grandson. Now winter is raging, the wards are breaking, feral goblins are wrecking the neighborhood, and the legendary Yule Cat is hunting them.
With her dream of a quiet holiday melting away, Erin and her brother, Cass, launch a desperate rescue mission to save a boy caught between two vengeful powers. They’ll need to end this god-sized custody battle and bring their family together before winter tears everything apart.
Whispers from the Fairy Circle – Coming March 2027
In 1936 Wisconsin, aspiring reporter Evie escapes to her family’s remote lakeside cabin to collect WPA folklore. Instead, she uncovers the cold case of a local girl who vanished into a fairy circle.
The town blamed magic; the police blamed her reputation. But as Evie follows the trail from luxury resorts into a dark bootlegging past, warnings turn to deadly threats.
Her only safe harbor is Jack, a quiet bartender nursing his own dark history. To get her headline, she’ll have to solve the one mystery he’s spent years trying to bury.
Echoes of the Oval Portrait, a Gothic romance story based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story.
