Ariadne's crown

Ariadne’s Crown

This is the untold story behind a classic Greek myth. Ariadne is stuck. Restless. As heir to the throne, she’s a poor substitute for her heroic brother. She’s wild, where he was brave. Impulsive, where he was noble. Every day, she feels his absence. Although, she loves her island fiercely, she craves adventure and a life of her own.

When an ominous prophesy destroys her marriage options, Ariadne is devastated. It means even less freedom and brings unwanted attention from her opportunist and dangerous cousin. Things get more complicated when an arrogant warrior arrives with the tribute from Athens and makes claims that threaten the shaky peace between their two kingdoms. Although she knows Theseus is the enemy, she starts to think he might be right. Even worse, underneath his tough exterior, she glimpses a softer side that makes her think it might not be so bad to marry a prince. Unfortunately, her sister sees it too.

When someone she loves finds herself in danger, Ariadne’s world shatters. It makes her question everything she thought to be true. To save her friend, she’s faced with an impossible choice. Joining forces with Theseus to the kill the Minotaur could bring freedom and unite their countries, but it also means betraying her father and losing everything she knows. She also doesn’t know if she can trust him to deliver what he promises. Does Ariadne have the strength to do what’s right and carve out the life she wants?
